Converge and Agoraphobic Nosebleed The Poacher Diaries:

A penutbutter and jelly split: Two awesome bands that just sound sound soo good together. Though one would think that grindcore and metalcore wouldn't work that well on one cd, but these two manage to make it worth. Neither side is really better than the other, just equal awesomeness. The only downside is Converge's side sounds like it was recorded in their parents' garage. Scott Hull, time to remaster that shit.

Agoraphobic Nosebleed Altered States of America: Scott Hull's grindcore masterpiece. Clocking in at twenty-one minutes none of the ninety-nine tracks feel forced, or inessential. Hulls inventive drum machine programming stands out, and while all aspects of this album are exceptional, the drums are truly unique. The speed and ferocity of this album gives way to slower tracks often containing excerpts from disturbing radio broadcasts. Most grindcore albums do not flow nearly as well as this one. Thanks to Hull's capability as a musician and arranger, Altered States of America will surely be remembered as one of the most important releases in its genre. If you're angry, you really can't do better than this album.
